Old Drugs, New Uses

Discover how low doses of some familiar medications can serve as new treatments for certain medical issues. The discussion will address the use of anesthetic agent ketamine that is being used at a very low dose to treat depression and the use of cannabis to treat epileptic seizures.
Dr. Blier has received several awards for outstanding contributions to psychopharmacology including the Canada Research Chair in Psychopharmacology from the Government of Canada. Dr. Sell is the Director of the Angelman Syndrome Clinic at CHEO and attends to pediatric patients with refractory epilepsy
